70 ISIS Members Killed in Syrian Army Storming of East Damascus
ISIS chose to counter the government’s Palmyra (Tadmur) and Quraytayn offensives with an attack on the eastern slopes of the Qalamoun Mountains.
According to a military source in Damascus City, ISIS has lost well over 70 combatants in the last 48 hours, resulting in another costly offensive to capture a large area of land that they will not likely hold.
However, the terrorist group’s offensive is far too close to the Syrian capital, which means the government forces will not allow ISIS to linger in this area for very long.
The Syrian Arab Army has already sent reinforcements to this front in order to put an end to this offensive and recapture the sites that are under ISIS’ control; ABNA24 reported.
