Iranian Sunni scholar: Muslims pray for proximity of heads of Islamic countries
Molavi Abdul Hamid Esmaeel Zehi, prayer leader of Makki Mosque, in the city of Zahedan, expressed satisfaction over participation of heads of Islamic countries in a joint meeting noting that proximity among Muslim countries and solving the issues through dialogue are the greatest wishes of all Muslim communities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He praised the remarks by Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani in the two day summit of the heads of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Turkey and counted no hostility between Riyadh and Tehran, ignorance, tension and clashes as well as the issue of Palestine as the key points in the speech delivered by President Rouhani.
Sunni cleric added,” It is known to all that the Zionist regime of Israel and arrogant powers are the main issues for the world of Islam and Muslims should unite to solve these problems.”
Manager of Dar-ul-Olum Seminary in Zahedan stressed that the issues in the world of Islam can be solved through talks and not war; hence, heads of Islamic countries should take steps in this line.
Iranian Sunni cleric also hailed the conference on “Unity and Security” held in Zahedan and highlighted patience and equality among different denominations and ethnic groups are necessities to disappoint the enemies and promotion of the Southeastern Province of Sistan and Baluchistan.
