Important Fallujah offensive expected soon
The Iraqi Army and Hashd Al-‘Anbar forces are preparing for the important offensive to liberate the strategic desert city of Fallujah from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).
The commanders of the Hashd Al-‘Anbar forces announced this decision on Sunday; this news comes just two weeks after the Iraqi Armed Forces liberated the strategic town of Al-Hit in the Al-‘Anbar Governorate. Fallujah, like Al-Ramadi and Tikrit, was one of the first cities to be captured by ISIS in the Summer of 2014 when they reemerged in western Iraq.
Optimized by Komoona If the Iraqi Armed Forces do capture Fallujah, then the nearby city of Karma will likely be the next ISIS stronghold to fall.
