Hundreds of Fresh Forces Join Syrian Army to Fight against Terrorists in Lattakia
“The Syrian army’s Desert Hawks Brigade, deployed in the battlefield of Homs province in Quaryatayn and Palmyra (Tadmur), has been dispatched to the Northern and Northeastern parts of Lattakia province to join the pro-government forces to cleanse the Aleppo-Lattakia highway and its nearby lands,” the sources said.
Earlier reports said that the Syrian army soldiers repelled the large-scale offensives of the terrorist groups to prevail over the government forces’ positions in the Northern part of the coastal province of Lattakia near the border with Turkey and forced them to retreat from the battlefield.
The Takfiri terrorist groups stormed the army positions to break through their defense lines in the Northern battlefield of Lattakia province but the strong defense of the Syrian soldiers inflicted a heavy death toll on the militants.
The terrorists left behind dozens of the dead and wounded members and fled the battlefront to evade more casualties.
