Field Commander: Syrian Army to Kick Off Massive Operations in Aleppo Soon
“Our forces are fully ready to enter the big battle of Aleppo,” Syrian field commander Mazen Hadiveh told FNA on Saturday.
Hadiveh reiterated that Khan Touman which has been recently recaptured is a good base for the Syrian army’s advances to other parts of Aleppo province and also breaking the terrorists’ siege of al-Fuaa and Kafraya in Idlib province.
“The terrorists’ efforts to engage in sporadic clashes with the Syrian army and prevent it from conducting its massive operations in Aleppo are futile,” he added.
In a relevant development on Friday, the Syrian Army troops and popular forces continued to target the gatherings of al-Nusra Front in the Southern part of Aleppo province, inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorists.
The Syrian soldiers and the National Defense Forces targeted the sites and centers of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front near the villages of Tal Hediyeh and al-Barqoum, the regions of Abu Shleim and al-Hadabeh al-Khadhra and in surroundings of the towns of Khan Touman and al-Hadher in the Southern battlefield of the province, which ended in the killing or wounding of scores of the terrorists.
Al-Nusra’s military vehicles, including the machinegun-equipped ones, were destroyed in the army attacks in large scale.
