Syrian Army confiscates over 5 tons of explosives in southeast Aleppo
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) stopped a vehicle and apprehended the driver on Thursday morning after he attempted to bypass a checkpoint along the Khanasser-Ithriya Road to Aleppo City.
When the Syrian Arab Army searched the culprit’s vehicle in southeast Aleppo, they found 5.3 tons of aluminum nitrate used to produce explosives, along with a large cache of grenades, assault rifles, and RPGs.
All of the contents have been seized and the culprit has been transferred to the competent authorities for further questioning. The culprit is a Syrian national and believed to be a member of the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).
