Zimmerman can't get away from God

A member of the six-woman jury that acquitted neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman in the killing of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin believes he is guilty.

Juror B29, named Maddy, who was the only non-white juror in the trial, told ABC News on Friday that Zimmerman got away with murder.
She said: “George Zimmerman got away with murder. But you can’t get away from God. And at the end of the day, he’s going to have a lot of questions and answers he has to deal with. But the law couldn’t prove it.”
Maddy said she was the juror who wanted to convict Zimmerman of second-degree murder, but realized that the evidence did not support a guilty verdict with respect to his claim of self-defense.
The juror also said she owes Martin’s parents an apology over her decision.
Her remarks came after juror B37 said earlier that Zimmerman was “justified” in shooting the teenager.
On July 13, the jury in Florida said that Zimmerman’s fatal shooting of Martin was justified, acquitting him of second-degree murder and manslaughter.
Thousands of people across the United States took to the streets to protest Zimmerman’s acquittal.
