General Suleimani arrives in Beirut to pay tribute to Martyred Hezbollah commander
Major General Qassim Suleimani of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’ “Al-Quds Force” reportedly arrived in Beirut on Monday morning in order to pay tribute to the fallen Hezbollah commander, Mustafa Badreddine. The Al-Quds Force commander has made several public visits to Lebanon in the past; however, this is the first time he has traveled to Beirut since the death of Jihad Mughaniyeh in January of 2015.
Major General Suleimani was believed to have been very close with Mustafa Badreddine, making this trip to Beirut much more emotional for the Al-Quds Force commander. Mustafa Badreddine was martyred this past weekend, when a barrage of artillery shells from an extremist terrorist group struck Hezbollah’s positions near the Damascus International Airport.
