“Holy Ramadan provides Muslims with a golden change to get familiar with Quranic teachings and principles,” pointed out the Chairman of Islamic Propagation Center, Hojjatol Islam Seyyed Mahdi Khamoushie urging Muslims to reflect on Islamic ordinances in the holy month, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Addressing Quran reciters in the city of Zanjan, Hojjatol Islam Seyyed Mahdi Khamoushie extended his felicitations to people of Muslim countries on the arrival of holy month of Ramadan.

The  Chairman of Islamic Propagation Center held  the holy month  as a great opportunity for Muslims worldwide to return to pure humane natures paving the way to avoid any kind of violence and extremism.

The religious cleric counted fasting as an effective way of practicing self-discipline. In his line, Muslims can strengthen their character vie charitable-giving, self-restraint,  and introspection.

Millions of Muslims around the world have started observing the rituals of the holy month of Ramadan, during which adult people fast from dawn to dusk.

In Ramadan, Muslims try to spend more time praying, reciting the Quran, and doing other religious social activities, like helping the poor.

Muslims also attempt to keep away from sins and worldliness in the holy month, during which the entire Holy Quran was revealed to the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).

At the end of the fasting day, Muslims break their day-long fast with an “iftar” meal.
Muslim people mark the Eid al-Fitr festival at the end of the holy month.
