VIDEO: Syrian Army Pushes back ISIS Terrorists from Hama – Raqqa Road
The ISIS terrorists were pushed back from their strongholds along a main road from Hama to Raqqa.
Scores of Takfiri terrorists were killed and wounded in tough battle with the Syrian government forces.
The Syrian army and popular force also continued their military gains in other key provinces across Syria.
The Syrian military troops repelled ISIS’s attacks on their positions along a road connecting Ithriya in Hama and al-Tabaqa in Raqqa province, inflicting a heavy death toll on the militants.
The Syrian soldiers fended off the ISIS attacks to capture the recently-liberated Syriatel tower, which also claimed the lives of several terrorist.
The ISIS tried to capture the tower to cut the road and bypass the government forces who captured al-Rasafeh crossroad.
Syriatel tower and its surroundings are under the full control of the army.
The ISIS suffered a heavy death toll in the army’s heavy fire, and some of the militants were also captured by the army men.
Reports said earlier on Saturday that the Syrian Army and popular forces identified and captured scores of ISIS suicide attackers along al-Tabaqa airbase road before they could carry out their operations.
“The army men and the National Defense Forces (NDF), tipped off by the intelligence agents, surrounded the group of the ISIS terrorists carrying suicide-belts and arrested them,” the sources said, adding, “The suicide attackers were mostly between 16-20 age and even one of them was at the age of 13.”
“Three of the suicide bombers exploded their explosives but none of the army men was injured in the blasts,” the sources said.
The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in a fresh round of clashes on Saturday, drove the ISIS terrorists back form one more strategic village in the Western side of the town of Manbij, inflicting a heavy death toll on the militants.
The SDF fighters’ offensives on the ISIS along Manbij-Aleppo road claimed the lives of at least 18 militants and forced the remaining pockets of the group to retreat from the village of Owseh Jeli.
The ISIS military equipment also sustained major damage in the attacks.
Meantime, a senior terrorist commander from Bahrain was killed in Aleppo province on Saturday.
Abu al-Mosana al-Bahraini, a notorious Takfiri terrorist commander, was killed in heavy clashes with the Syrian army in the Southern part of Aleppo yesterday.
Battlefield sources announced on Saturday that the Syrian army’s anti-militancy operation in Northern Homs left tens of al-Nusra Front’s terrorists dead or wounded.
“The Syrian army men surrounded a group of al-Nusra fighters near the village of Ein al-Hossein and, in a rapid attack, killed or wounded most of them,” the sources said, adding, “The Syrian army’s operation ended the terrorist groups’ rule over the nearby regions of Ein al-Hossein.”
“Al-Nusra military hardware also sustained major damage in the attacks. The Takfiri terrorists pulled out the remaining pockets of their forces and fled the battlefield,” the sources said.
Reports said earlier on Saturday that the Syrian Army troops’ anti-terrorism operation in Eastern Homs drove ISIS out of more strategic territories in energy-rich regions near the terrorist-held desert town of Arak.
The Syrian soldiers continued their advances against the ISIS strongholds along Palmyra-al-Sukhnah road and took full control over T-3 oil pumping station and Arak passage, which also ended in the killing or wounding of tens of the militants.
In the meantime, the Syrian army restored security to al-Talaleh crossroad and gained fire control over al-Talaleh region that is a desert under the ISIS control.
Informed sources also said that the ISIS is pulling out it fighters from Eastern Homs and redeploying them in Raqqa province.
The Syrian military forces continued to target ISIS’s concentration centers and gatherings in different parts of the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur, inflicting major casualties on the terrorists.
The Syrian army’s artillery units shelled the ISIS positions in the district of al-Roshdiyeh in Deir Ezzur city, the village of Ayyash in Western countryside of the city and in the surroundings of al-Thardah mountain in the Western side of the city, which not only claimed the lives of 15 terrorists but ended in destruction of their military hardware in large scale.
