More Popular Forces Heading towards Homs to Join Syrian Army’s Battle against ISIL

Military sources announced minutes ago that a large number of National Defense Forces (NDF), trained in the provinces of Tartus and Lattakia, have been sent to Homs to join the Syrian Army troop’s anti-ISIL operation East of the province.

“A huge number of NDF fighters have left their training camps in Tartus and Lattakia for the oil-rich region of al-Sha’er in Eastern Homs,” the sources said, adding, “The fresh NDF fighters will join the Syrian army men in the battle against the ISIL terrorists in al-Sha’er region.”

Reports said on Sunday that the Syrian soldiers repelled the ISIL offensive on the government forces’ strongholds in Southwestern Homs, and forced the Takfiri terrorists to retreat from the battlefield without any gain.

The ISIL attacks to penetrate into the government force’ positions between the village of Qasr al-Hayer and the ancient Assyrian town of al-Quayratayn were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

The ISIL suffered a heavy death toll and fled the battlefield.

In the meantime, the ISIL missile launching pads near the village of Keisin in Northern Homs were targeted and destroyed by the Syrian heavy fire.
