Syria: Over 100 ISIL Terrorists Killed in Clashes with Pro-Gov’t Fighters near Manbij
The SDF fighters’ strong not only did not allow the ISIL to prevail over their defense lines near the al-Sajour river, but inflicted very heavy casualties of the militants.
In the meantime, ISIL’s mortar launching-pads, heavy machineguns and armored vehicles were destroyed in the failed attacks and a PMP was also seized by the SDF fighters.
In relevant developments in the province on Monday, the SDF fended off a large-scale offensive of ISIL terrorist group on their strongholds near the town of Manbij, inflicting tens of casualties on the militants.
“The Kurdish-led SDF fighters repelled ISIL’s heavy attacks from three flanks on SDF positions near the al-Sajour river and the villages of Qora’a al-Kabireh, Qora’a al-Saghireh, Owsah Jeli and the Western side of Um Adseh, killing around 80 militants, and destroying their armored vehicles and mortar shells and launchers,” the sources said.
