100 Daesh Terrorists Killed in Syrian Army Airstrikes in Hama
The Syrian Arab Air Force killed more than 100 militants of the Daesh terrorist group in a series of airstrikes conducted in the central country’s province of Hama, local media reported Wednesday.
Syria’s aircraft destroyed a convoy of vehicles armed with machine guns near the city of Salamiyah and killed about a hundred of militants, SANA news agency reported.
The Air Force shelled Daesh positions in Raqqah and Deir ez-Zor provinces as well, the media outlet added.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with government forces fighting numerous opposition groups, including the allegedly moderate factions, as well as terrorist formations, such as the Daesh, which is prohibited in many countries, including Russia and the United States; Sputnik reported.
