Syria: Gov’t Forces’ Advances End ISIL’s Control over Main Oil Pipeline in Hama
The Syrian government forces jointly continued to move eastward into the desert area of al-Salamiyah, taking control of ISIL-held strategic points along the oil pipeline.
The ISIL suffered a heavy death toll and its military equipment sustained major damage in the attacks.
Also on Monday, Syrian Army troops and National Defense Forces, backed up by the country’s fighter jets, repelled ISIL’s offensive on government forces’ positions in Eastern Hama and killed at least 14 militants in a rapid counter-attack.
The Syrian government forces fended off ISIL’s attacks on their strongholds near Aqarib and petrol lines region, and then carried out a rapid but heavy counter-attack against their defense lines in the battlefield, which ended in the killing of at least 14 terrorists.
