Terrorists Loot Facilities of over 1,000 Industrial Units in Northern Aleppo
“Terrorist group invaded al-Lairamoun industrial zone in 2012 and started to disassemble their equipment and transferd them to Turkey. Now al-Lairamoun industrial zone, which once was the second largest industrial site in Aleppo after Sheikh Najjar, is noting but a ruin,” Fares al-Shahabi said.
“Last month, the Syrian Justice Ministry filed a complaint against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan before international courts accusing his government of looting properties of at least 37 large factories and workshops in al-Lairamoun with the total value of over $5bln,” he further added.
On Thursday, Syria’s state-run TV announced that all plants and buildings located in Lairamoun industrial zone in Northern Aleppo were retaken from the terrorist groups.
“All building blocks, firms and factories in al-Lairamoun industrial zone in Northern Aleppo province have come under the Syrian government forces’ control,” the al-Akhbariya TV quoted a military source as saying on Thursday.
“The Syrian army completed its military operations to establish security in Aleppo and could retake control of Afrin and Youth Housing areas as well as all buildings and workshops of Lairamoun,” he added.
