A senior Saudi royal guard officer, sent to help the terrorists in Syria, was killed in Khan Touman city, in Southwestern Aleppo on Tuesday.

“After receiving intel, the Syrian army commanders ordered targeting the terrorists’ gathering center at Khan Touman’s school near al-Matahin district and the pursuing attack killed a number of terrorist commanders, including a Saudi officer, named Mokhalef al-Salih, who was a high-ranking officer in the Saudi royal guard,” a military source said on Tuesday.

“Also Abu Ahmad al-Shami, an Ahrar al-Sham commander, and Abdolrahman al-Hajari Saudi who worked for Saudi Arabia’s spy agency were killed in the attack as they were both accompanying the Saudi officer,” he added.

Field sources said that following the attack, the terrorists were confused and voices of crying and shouting came from their base.

Reports said on Monday and Tuesday that Syrian and Russian fighter jets launched several joint combat sorties over Jeish al-Fatah’s strongholds, inflicting major losses and casualties on the militants.

Syrian and Russian air forces destroyed three positions of Jeish al-Fatah terrorists in Khan Touman and Khan al-Asal, while terrorists’ convoys of logistical and armed vehicles on roads of Saraqib-Aleppo, Taftnaz-Aleppo and al-Zerbeh-Aleppo were badly targeted and damaged by the Syrian and Russian air attacks.

The Syrian army aircraft also bombed Jeish al-Fatah’s positions in Kafr Naha, al-Atareb, Khan Touman, Oroum al-Cobra, al-Zerbeh, Khalsah and in the surroundings of Military Academies in Aleppo, destroying scores of armored vehicles and cars equipped with machineguns and loaded with ammunition.
