Syrian Army thwarts terrorist counter-offensive in southern Aleppo
The terrorists of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) launched a powerful counter-assault in southern Aleppo today, targeting the key hilltop that overlooks the Khan Touman-Ramouseh Road near Al-Qarassi.
Jaysh Al-Fateh began the offensive by pushing back the Syrian Armed Forces from Tal Umm Qara after an intense firefight; however, their success would end there.
Not long after the Syrian Armed Forces withdrew from Tal Umm Qara, Jaysh Al-Fateh would make a daring attempt to recapture this strategic hilltop, despite the constant bombardment from the Russian Air Force.
This attempt by Jaysh Al-Fateh to recapture Tal Umm Qara would eventually fail after a short battle with the Syrian Armed Forces this morning.
Without Tal Umm Qara, the jihadist rebels are cutoff from their forces in the southern districts of Aleppo City.
