Live scenes of Qassam attack during 2014 war released
A video displaying live scenes of an anti-occupation operation carried out by an elite unit of the Qassam Brigades was released on Thursday evening. The videotaped operation displays the killing of eight Israeli soldiers from a zero distance during the 2014 Israeli offensive on Gaza and the abduction of the Israeli soldier Shaul Aaron. Entitled al-Dhabab (fog), the video showed live footage taken by two Qassam operators during the offensive.
The shooting of the eight Israeli soldiers was headed by al-Qassam fighter Ahmad al-Jamassi, who was later killed in the operation along with fighter Thabet al-Reifi. Shortly before he was killed, al-Jamassi targeted an Israeli Merkava war tank with an RPG shell to secure the withdrawal of the resistance fighters from the battlefield. Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, has carried out typical anti-occupation operations against Israeli targets during the 2014 offensive on the besieged coastal territory of Gaza.
