20 September 2016 18:31

The terrorists sent tens of bomb-laden cars towards the walls of Deir Ezzur airbase but the Syrian forces destroyed all of them.

Clashes between the Syrian army and the ISIL terrorists near al-Tharda mountain in the Southern parts of Deir Ezzur airbase continued on Tuesday, leaving dozens of terrorists dead and wounded.

Also the Syrian and Russian fighter jets bombed the ISIL positions in al-Baqilia, al-Hosseinia, Huwaija Kate’ and al-Janinah villages in the Northwestern parts of Deir Ezzur and Hatla in the Eastern parts of the city, killing and injuring tens of terrorists.

Earlier today, the Syrian army units along with their allies advanced in al-Sana’a district in the Northeastern parts of Deir Ezzur, retaking full control over several blocks in the region.

A military source in Deir Ezzur said that the Syrian military forces regained control of several buildings after severe clashes with the ISIL at the gates of al-Sana’a district and destroying a tunnel used by the terrorist group to transfer light weapons and forces, killing all the militants inside the tunnel.

The source added that tens of terrorists were killed during the operations in Deir Ezzur as the militants couldn’t prevent the army’s advance in al-Sana’a despite the little number of the Syrian soldiers.
