Scores of ISIL Terrorists Killed in Clashes with Rival Group in Syria’s Damascus
Jeish al-Islam fighters ambushed a group of ISIL terrorists in al-Qalamoun region, and killed at least 30 fighters.
Jeish al-Islam’s Spokesman Hamza Birqadar wrote in the group’s telegram account that “landmines played a crucial role in hitting ISIL terrorists”.
“In the meantime, a BMP vehicle of ISIL was destroyed in the clashes with ISIL in Jubb al-Isharah, al-Naqb and Jubb al-Fa’ei,” he added.
Fatah al-Sham Front (the newly-formed al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) also announced that a number of ISIL terrorists have been killed by its landmine-traps in Eastern Qalamoun.
Last month, heavy infighting between Jeish al-Islam and Fatah al-Sham Front in Eastern Ghouta claimed the lives of scores of terrorists from both sides.
Serious argument between commanders of Jeish al-Islam and Fatah al-Sham ended in the escalation of fierce clashes between the groups’ members in Douma.
Tens of fighters from both sides were killed and wounded in the clashes.
The non-stop infightings of rival terrorist groups have caused people to call on militants to leave the region.
