Syrian Arab Army’s 102nd Brigade of the Republican Guard reportedly entered the ‘Ard Al-Hamra area of northeastern Aleppo after a fierce battle with the Islamist rebels of Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki.

Backed by Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), the 102nd Brigade reportedly seized most of the ‘Ard Al-Hamra area, killing a large number of Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki militants in the process of their advance.

The ‘Ard Al-Hamra area is located near the strategic Hanano District and Badro Mountains; it is considered the gateway to the eastern axis of the rebel pocket in east Aleppo.

Meanwhile, at the Bustan Al-Basha District, the Syrian Arab Army’s 102nd Brigade managed to capture two building blocks at the southwestern axis this evening, marking their first advance in northeast Aleppo since the short-lived humanitarian ceasefire.
