Sunni cleric warns against growing anti-Shia terror attacks in Pakistan
Shah Owais Noorani, secretary general of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) (Pakistan’s society of Ulima) in his latest remarks has warned Pakistan’s intelligent serives against sectarian clashes between Shia and Sunni communities in this country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to the reasons behind increasing terrorist attacks in Pakistan and warned against the atrocities and homicide committed by them across the country.
Shah Owais Noorani noted that,” To save the country is dependent upon practicing Islamic teachings because secular and liberal governments have proved their incapability and at present it is only Islam which can meet their spiritual demands.”
The Sunni cleric expressed concern over new wave of threats against the Shia community and terrorist operations during Shia religious ceremonies and warned Pakistani intelligence authorities against the threat.
