Terrorists rocket attack disrupts Christian ceremony in Syria’s Mahardah
At least 5 civilians were injured in the predominantly-Christian city of Mahardah as rockets fired from rebel-held Halfaya landed in residential areas inside the city.
According to local sources, barrages of mortar shells and homegrown missiles hit several neighborhoods inside the city, wounding several people.
The attack, which also caused material damage, came as residents were celebrating Saint Barbara’s Day; a ceremony celebrated annually among Middle Eastern Christians.
The city has frequently come under several rocket attacks as it is situated along the battlefront with Islamist militants who control large swaths of Hama northern Countryside.
