Islamic proximity, search in common grounds between denominations
Mamusta Abdul Rahman Khalifezad, Sunni prayer leader of Boukan, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) stressed expansion of a discourse of Islamic solidarity in the world of Islam warning against Takfiri movements as serious threats against Muslims.
He called Islamic proximity as an influential and blessing soft ware for the Islamic Republic of Iran in relation with other Muslims.
The cleric said the meaning of proximity is a search in common grounds between different Islamic denominations which comprise 95 per cent of Muslims’ ideas; hence, Muslims should focus on that majority of commonalities rather than the minor 5 per cent of disagreements and do not grant the enemies with opportunities to misuse our disagreements for their benefit.
“Takfiri movements are serious threats against Islamic nation and world Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has made it to provide proper solutions against this threat” said he and referred to Takfiri and extremist activities.
Iranian Sunni scholar hailed the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought for expansion of the discourse of dialogue in the world of Islam stressing importance of cautioning, enlightening and analysis of the religious and judiciary issues which should be maintained among the top priorities.
According to the cleric world forum should also focus on necessity of unity and disagreement among all Muslim countries as well as threats of extremist tendencies.
