Mishaal: We will continue to develop the resistance weapon
Head of Hamas’s political bureau Khaled Mishaal said Wednesday that the biggest achievement his Movement made during 29 years of its struggle that it restored the prestige of the national project and gathered momentum for the resistance and intifada (uprising).
In an interview conducted by al-Aqsa satellite channel, Mishaal stated that his Movement would continue to maintain and improve the armed resistance and its weapon and transfer it to other areas of Palestine.
He hailed the resistance in Gaza and its role in forcing the Israeli army to withdraw from the enclave and defending it despite the blockade.
He also paid tribute to the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories who supported the resistance and gave away their sons in defense of the Aqsa Mosque.
In another context, the Hamas official reiterated his Movement’s keenness on ending the division in the Palestinian arena without conceding the national constants and rights.
He stressed the need to achieve the national reconciliation through accepting to coexist with each other regardless of all differences and finding common ground to work together, pointing to the importance of rebuilding the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
