Thinkers and elites from across the world of Islam attending 30th International Islamic Unity Conference have convened in the committee on challenges of Muslim world discussing the issue of Palestine and Islamic resistance, Takfiri (excommunication) movements, crisis in Yemen, Syria, Bahrain and Iraq and also Islamic unity and revival of Islamic culture as the four main axes of the meeting, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Saeed al Shehabi, Bahraini intellectual, in his speech at the meeting stressed that the difference between Muslims does not have political origins and an intrigue hatched by enemies of Islam.”

He said,” It is necessary that the issue of Takfir is discussed as an important predicament for the world of Islam.”

Hassan Baghdadi, Lebanese thinker noted,” 30th International Islamic Unity Conference is held amid great changes in the world of Islam including the victories of resistance against Takfiri groups in Aleppo when Shia community is not the only target for the deviate terrorist group; therefore, we should all unite to stand against them.”

Sheikh Abdul Mon’em al Zein from Senegal warned against ignorance as the most important problem challenging Muslims and that some Muslims are not informed on religious principles and these domestic clashes are due to their being influenced by foreign culture which is ignorant by itself.

Sheikh Baha el Din al Jabouri, from Australia, also counted cultural and ideological problems as the first challenge ahead of the Islamic nation which has unfortunately been institutionalized in the Islamic countries adding appearance of Takfiri groups like Daesh as one of these serious challenges.

Sheikh Fares al Salibi, from Palestine, stressed support for Palestine and said,” All challenges in the world of Islam will sustain as far as Palestine is occupied by the Zionist regime.”

Diyar Ibrahim from Ivory Coast expressed hope that the conference provides the grounds for solving the challenges of Muslim world stressing that these challenges are due to not performing Qur’anic recommendations.

He counted maintaining unity and avoiding division as important Qur’anic guidelines which have been ignored by Muslims.
