Several members of Fatah al-Sham Front (previously known as the al-Nusra Front), including Saudi militants, were killed in Syrian air and artillery attacks in Eastern Hama.

The army aircraft and artillery units targeted the gatherings and movements of Fatah al-Sham in Taloul al-Hamar West of al-Salamiyah town near the provincial border with Homs province, leaving at least seven militants dead, including several Saudi nationals and destroying three vehicles.

Reports said, at least, 30 militants were also injured in the attacks.

Also, the army troops and National Defense Forces repelled terrorists’ offensive on their positions near the city of al-Salamiyah on Monday, killing at least 25 militants and wounding several more.

Terrorist groups stormed the strongholds of the government forces on Western side of al-Salamiyah from the three directions of Khneifis, al-Ramliyeh and al-Sat’hiyat, but failed to prevail over the army positions.

The terrorist groups suffered 25 casualties and pulled the rest of fighters out of the battlefield.

The army’s artillery and missile units played a crucial role in fending off terrorists’ attack.
