Memorial ceremony held in Pakistan for Ayatollah Rafsanjani
A memorial ceremony to honor and pay respect to former President of Iran and the Chairman of the Expediency Council, late Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, was held in Pakistan on Thursday.
Iranian Cultural Counselor, Shahaboddin Daraei speaking on the occasion praised the role of Ayatollah Rafsanjani during pre and post Islamic Revolution era.
He said Ayatollah Rafsanjani in most difficult conditions always stood by Founder of the Islamic Revolution Iranian embassy in Pakistan and Iranian consulates in all force provinces of the country had also opened condolence book on the sad demise of Ayatollah Rafsanjani. Imam Khomeini and Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Ayatollah Rafsanjani passed away on January 8 at the age of 82 due to a heart attack in a Tehran hospital.
