Syrian government forces liberate new village in Al-Bab, now closer to Turkish armed forces
At approximately 1:00 P.M. (Damascus Time) on Wednesday, the Syrian Arab Army announced the liberation of a new village inside the Al-Bab Plateau, leaving the Islamic State (ISIS) militants wedged between the government forces and Turkish Army.
Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army liberated the village of Touman in the southern countryside of Al-Bab, killing and wounding several members of the Islamic State in the process of this latest advance in east Aleppo.
With Touman liberated today, the Syrian Arab Army is now within striking distance of Al-Bab, as the city is situated less than 4km north of their front-lines.
Racing the Syrian Army to Al-Bab is the Turkish Armed Forces, who have already launched a massive assault on the city, despite past failures against ISIS.
