Breaking: Syrian Army makes fresh gains in east Aleppo
Fierce battles continue to rip through the eastern countryside of Aleppo as Syrian government and opposition prepare for another round of peace talks.
This morning, the Syrian Army carried on a days-long advance in Aleppo eastern countryside, expelling the Islamic State fighters from two villages; Rasm al-Kama and Rasm al-Kabir.
With the new push, the government forces are now in a position where they can easily and effectively target the ISIS-held village of Shweileh from the north and east.
The advance, according to AMN correspondent, was made through Bijan, where the Army’s elite forces managed to break into ISIS defensives after heavy battles with the terror group.
