ISIS burns Jazal Gas Fields as Syrian Army units reach outskirts
The Islamic State (ISIS) has once again begun the systematic destruction of another Syrian gas field in western Palmyra, local journalists reported on Thursday evening.
Similar to the systematic destruction of the recently liberated Hayyan Gas Fields, the Islamic State terrorist organization has begun blowing up gas wells in the Jazal Mountains of east Homs.
The Jazal Mountains were captured by the Islamic State in early December 2016, when the aforementioned terrorist group launched a wide-scale offensive to seize the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra.
Since this terrorist operation in east Homs, the Islamic State has imposed control over some of Syria’ largest gas fields, creating a fuel crisis across the country during these frigid Winter months.
