Syrian Army Troops Win Back Control of 4 New Towns in Eastern Aleppo

The Syrian army, supported by fighter jets, continued advances in Eastern Aleppo, and regained control of four new towns in the Southern parts of Kuweires airbase.

The Syrian army units continued to advance from the Southern parts of Hamimah al-Saqirah town and retook control of Tal Ayoub and Um Zalilah towns.

They also heavily clashed with the ISIL terrorists from al-Qatibah town and seized back control of al-Karin and Hazazah towns in the Northern parts of Sabkha al-Jaboul.

Meantime, the Syrian air force launched airstrikes against the ISIL bases and moves in Sharimeh, Khasaf, Um Zalilah and Tal Ayoub, killing dozens of terrorists and blowing up their military equipment.

A military source said that the Syrian troops have inflicted tens of losses on ISIL during the operations, and added that the terrorists have lost control of the towns of al-Asemiyeh, Tal Ahmar and Rasm al-Abad in military terms.

In a relevant development on Wednesday, the Syrian army forces warded off the ISIL’s offensive South of the Air Force Academy, killing tens of terrorists and wounding many more.

The army units engaged in heavy fighting with ISIL terrorists in several fronts along the road connecting the village of a-Qatibeh Um Arkileh village.

The ISIL suffered tens of casualties and its military hardware sustained major damage in the failed attack.
