‘Terrorists seeking revenge from innocent Syrian civilians’

The Spokesman of Foreign Ministry Bahram Ghasemi strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on civilians in Syrian capital city of Damascus on Wednesday.

“Whenever the terrorists with a label face defeats at military and political fronts, they intensify their blind suicide attacks to undermine their defeats, to their belief, with shedding the blood of the innocent citizens,” said Bahram Ghasemi after the latest deadly suicide attacks on civilians in Damascus.

The Iranian diplomat categorically condemned the attack and offered sympathies to the Syrian people and government.

Ghasemi noted that as the lives of the ‘bloodthirsty terrorists’ in Syria and Iraq has reached their last moments, thanks to the efforts of the Syrian army, volunteer forces, and anti-terrorism resistant groups of of the region, doubtlessly these kinds of anti-humane and murderous acts would not enliven the listless corpse of the terrorists.

A suicide bomber detonated himself while being inspected by security forces to enter the old palace of justice in Damascus at 01:13 p.m. local time on Wednesday. The terrorist picked a time of clients’ rush to the palace to wage the highest amount of casualty with the bomb.

Meanwhile, another suicide bomber who was recognized and chased by the police, on Wednesday, escaped to a crowded restaurant in northwestern Damascus and detonated the bomb.
