Iraqi Prime Minister issues stern warning to Turkey about attacking Iraq again
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-‘Abadi issued a statement on Tuesday condemning the Turkish military’s unauthorized incursion into Iraq’s Sinjar Mountains today.
‘Abadi not only condemned the the Turkish military’s incursion into northwest Iraq, he also issued a stern warning to Ankara about carrying out such attacks in the future.
The Turkish military carried out several attacks against the predominately Kurdish PKK forces in northwestern Iraq today, claiming some 70 “militants” were killed in the process.
In addition to their attacks in Iraq, the Turkish military also carried out an assault in northeastern Syria, killing and wounding 18 people.
