At least 8 civilians were killed as fighting continues between the Philippines army and ultraconservative militiamen of Maute and Aby Sayyaf in Marawi city.
The country’s air force carried our several airstrikes that targeted the ISIS-linked militants who are believed to be hiding in abandoned house.
Eight bodies were found in a ravine on the outskirts of Marawi City as the Army and National Police Special Action Forces advanced in the region.
According to the police, the victims – Christian bankers – were slaughtered by the hardline militants and dumbed off a cliff along Marawi National road.
