Syrian Army Captures Most Important Positions of Terrorists in Eastern Damascus
The army forces engaged in clashes with the terrorists of Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in Eastern Damascus and managed to take control over several key buildings and positions in Ein Terma.
In the meantime, the Syrian Air Force bombed heavily the positions of Al-Nusra in Ein Terma.
A military source reported that the army soldiers managed to push Al-Nusra back from its key positions and imposed full control over the meat-packing company and its nearby buildings, killing several militants.
A military source said on Sunday that the army relocated a large number of soldiers from de-escalation zones in Southern Syria to the battlefronts in Ein Terma and Jobar.
The source further said that the first convoy of fresh forces, including several tanks and missile launchers left de-escalation zones for Eastern Ghouta, adding that more military columns will be dispatched to Eastern Damascus in the coming days.
The source went on to say that tough battle was underway between the army soldiers and terrorists in Ein Terma and Jobar, adding that the army will intensify its attack after arrival of fresh forces.
