ISIL forces devastated by the Syrian Army in east Homs
The Islamic State (ISIL) launched a big attack in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate, Thursday, targeting the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions in the Hamimah area.
ISIL began the offensive with their usual VBIED attack on the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses; however, the suicide bomber was unable to reach his intended targeted.
Following the botched VBIED attack, ISIL stormed the Syrian Army’s positions in the Hamimah area, resulting a fierce battle that would last for nearly two hours on Thursday.
Despite the intensity of their assault, the Islamic State was unable to make any gains in the Hamimah area; instead, they ended up losing more than 20 combatants during the offensive, including a field commander.
