Rabid zionist occupation regime’s tanks, jets once again target Gaza Strip
(presstv) — Sunday’s clashes erupted during evening prayers after Tel Aviv forces installed more cameras outside the mosque’s entrance.
Similar protests also broke out in the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Tensions began to soar after the Tel Aviv regime’s imposition of restrictive measures on the entry of worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound. The new restrictive measures have seen the regime in Israel install metal detectors at entry points of the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
More than 300 Palestinians have lost their lives at the hands of Israeli forces in the ongoing tensions since the beginning of October 2015.
The Tel Aviv regime has tried to change the demographic makeup of Jerusalem al-Quds over the past decades by constructing settlements, destroying historical sites and expelling the local Palestinian population. Palestinians say the Israeli measures are aimed at paving the way for the Judaization of the city. The al-Aqsa Mosque compound is a flashpoint Islamic site, which is also holy to Jews. The mosque is Islam’s third holiest site after Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.
Israeli forces once again attack Gaza Strip
According to Palestinian media on Sunday, Israeli warplanes and tanks carried out attacks on various locations across the Gaza Strip.
The Tel Aviv regimes claims that the strikes were initiated in response to rocket fire from Gaza.
There have been no reports of casualties from either of the incidents.
The Israeli military frequently bombs the Gaza Strip, with civilians being the main target of such attacks.
Israel has also launched several wars on the Palestinian coastal sliver, the last of which began in early July 2014. The military aggression, which ended on August 26, 2014, killed nearly 2,200 Palestinians. Over 11,100 others were also wounded in the war.
