Iranian Deputy DM Warns of Enemy Spying Aircraft Flying over Persian Gulf, Sea of Oman

25 July 2017 16:26

Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami warned that Iranian military forces have monitored enemy spying aircraft flying over the Persian Gulf and the Seal of Oman.

“The enemies are seeking to monitor the (Iranian) Armed Forces’ activities to assess and analyze the Islamic Republic of Iran’s defense power through reconnaissance flights in the region, specially the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman,” General Hatami said, addressing a ceremony in the Central city of Qom on Tuesday.

He warned that a major part of enemies’ war against Iran relies on reconnaissance missions, and stressed the need for maintaining vigilance against their moves.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is involved in a full-scale war against the arrogance system and the enemies of the Islamic Revolution,” General Hatami said.

General Hatami had also in 2016 warned that the world arrogant powers have not yet abandoned their hostilities against the country.

“Besides the defense industry’s astonishing progress, enemies cannot bear the Islamic Republic of Iran’s spiritual power and therefore, will never leave animosity towards Iran,” General Hatami said, addressing a ceremony in the Northwestern city of Tabriz.

Stressing that the form of enmities is changing, he said, “Since the beginning of the Revolution, the enemies have been plotting against Iran and they still pursue their goals by changing the nature of their hostilities from military war to sanctions, soft warfare and economic warfare and they don’t spare any attempts to this end and change the form of their enmities relevant to Iran’s conditions and capabilities.”
