Senior ISIL Commander Killed in Clashes with Syrian Army in Hama

One of the notorious commanders of ISIL was killed in the Syrian Army troops’ attack on the terrorist groups’ defense lines in Eastern Hama.

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL South of the town of Ithriya in Northeastern Hama and managed to impose control over several positions overlooking Hill 23 that was previously captured by the pro-government forces.

A number of terrorists, including Abu al-Qa’aqa’a, a field commander were killed in the army attack in Eastern Hama.

A number of ISIL terrorists were also injured in the operation.

Relevant reports said on Monday that the Russian and Syrian fighter jets carried out several combat flights over ISIL’s defense lines and movements in Eastern Hama to provide aerial back up for the Syrian government troops that were moving towards Deir Ezzur.

The warplanes launched heavy airstrikes on ISIL’s positions in the villages of Qalib al-Thor, Abu Hanaya, Salba, Mas’oud, Abu Habibat  and al-Hardaneh, killing tens of terrorists and destroying their military equipment.

In the meantime, the Syrian Army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL near the town of Aqayrabat.

Also, the army’s artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at ISIL’s movements along the oil pipeline and in nearby villages, killing and wounding a number of terrorists.
