Hezbollah Fighters Enter Largest Military Site of Terrorists at Lebanon-Syria Border
The sources said that the resistance fighters have pushed the Al-Nusra terrorists back from more positions and entered their main site in one of the mountains in Wadi al-Kheil region covering an almost 400sq/m of area.
The sources further added that the terrorists’ site included a jail where several Lebanese soldiers were once jailed. They had been captured in clashes with Al-Nusra in 2014 but were freed later.
The sources went on to say that one of the positions of the Lebanese Army in Harf al-Jarash height in Ra’as Ba’albak region came under mortar attacks of the terrorists.
Relevant reports said on Thursday that the resistance forces engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra and imposed control over several heights, including al-Qariyeh, in Arsal.
Military sources said Hezbollah’s dominance over al-Qariyeh would help restore security to the regions around mountainous areas.
The sources also confirmed that 95 percent of Arsal heights were liberated and the Al-Nusra Front only controls a small portion of the heights and was almost left with no other choice but to surrender.
Meantime, ISIL terrorists came under the siege of resistance forces in the Northern passage of Arsal and their supply lines were also cut.
