Syrian Tiger Forces, tribal fighters roll back ISIS in southern Raqqa
More footage has been leaked from the front-lines in southern Raqqa Governorate where the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) elite Tiger Forces, supported by pro-government tribal militias, are heavily engaged with ISIS militants.
The footage shows pro-government forces (both army troops and tribal fighters) embattled against ISIS in an unnamed town or village that straggles the western bank of the Euphrates River.
The Tiger Forces and tribal militias can be seen employing assault infantry, Toyota pickups armed with 23-mm ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns and battle tanks as they push their way through ISIS lines.
It is along the upper western bank of the Euphrates where the Tiger Forces carried out a large military operation in recent days that led to the liberation of seven towns and villages as well as heavy losses on ISIS manpower and equipment.
