Tunisian parliamentary delegation visits Damascus, meets with President Assad
A Tunisian parliamentary delegation began a nine day visit to the Syrian capital of Damascus, Friday, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
The delegation met with some of the highest members of the Syrian government, including President Bashar Al-Assad.
Among the delegation that was present in Damascus, Friday, were the Tunisian MPs Leila Al-Shatawi, Mubarak Awainiya, Salah Al-Barqawi, and Rabiha bin Hussein.
MP Laila Al-Shatawi had said that around 3000 Tunisian youths moved to fight along with the terrorist groups in Syria, Libya and other countries, revealing the passages they used to reach their destiny.
The members of the delegation were also members of the Nobel Peace Prize winning Tunisian labor union.
