According to the Arabic-language al-Ahd news website, the Syrian army forces have been deployed in the town of al-Sawaneh in Eastern Homs for military operations against the ISIL in Deir Ezzur.
A military source said that al-Sawaneh is seen as army’s platform for starting the march on ISIL in Deir Ezzur.
He added that the army will soon start the Deir Ezzur offensive from al-Sawaneh as reinforcement troops are also on their way to join the soldiers stationed in al-Sawaneh.
Meantime, local sources said on Monday that the ISIL terrorist group has started arresting youngsters in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur to dispatch them to the battlefront to slow down the Syrian Army’s advances.
The sources reported that the ISIL has arrested a large number of young people in the towns and villages of al-Asharah, al-Qouriyeh, Daranj, al-Hosseiniyeh and Hatlah to send them to the battlefield to take part in the war against the Syrian pro-government forces.
The sources said that the recent arrests came after ISIL issued orders for forced reinforcement in the province.
Meantime, witnesses reported that two ISIL terrorists were killed by unknown assailants in the town of al-Ashareh in Southeastern Deir Ezzur.
