Breaking: Syrian Army advances on strategic base near Jordanian border
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA), resumed their offensive in eastern Al-Sweida this morning, targeting the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) positions near the Jordanian border.
Led by their 5th Corps, the Syrian Arab Army and PLA forces attacked the towns of Qa’a Al-Masarah and Wadi Al-Sha’ab, quickly advancing past the Free Syrian Army’s defenses after a three hour battle.
The Syrian Arab Army and PLA forces managed to take control of Qa’a Masarah and Wadi Al-Sha’ab after the Free Syrian Army fighters ditched their positions in order to retreat to the 133rd Border Garrison.
As a result of this advance, the Syrian Arab Army and PLA forces are now at the edges of the 133rd Border Garrison, leaving the Free Syrian Army with their backs against the wall.
