5 September 2017 11:31

The Syrian Army troops managed to push ISIL back from more regions in Eastern Hama, tightening noose on terrorists in Central Syria amid the pro-government forces’ devastating advances in Deir Ezzur province.

The army men drove ISIL out of the villages of Qanber, Mas’ada and Hamada Omar East of the town of al-Salamiyah.

Field reports said that 10 villages are still under ISIL’s control, adding that the army plans to take them back as soon as possible.

Relevant reports said on Monday that the army troops, backed up by the country’s Air Force, repelled ISIL’s heavy offensive in Eastern Hama, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL that stormed the pro-government forces’ positions in the village of Jarouh from their positions North of Aqayrabat and managed to fend off their attack.

ISIL suffered heavy casualties in the clashes.

Also, the army aircraft pounded the defense lines of ISIL in the villages of al-Hardaneh, Tal Admeh and al-Asafereh near Aqayrabat, killing and wounding a number of terrorists and destroying their equipment.
