Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in Syria’s key provinces.

Homs

The Syrian Army troops managed to fend off a heavy offensive of Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) on the pro-government forces’ positions in Northern Homs on Sunday, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The Al-Nusra terrorists violated de-escalation zone truce again and attacked the strongholds of the army South of the town of Talbiseh, in areas surrounding the village of al-Qantou and North of the town of al-Rastan.

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra and warded off their attack.

The Al-Nusra suffered heavy casualties and pulled back the remaining pockets of its forces from the battlefield.

The Syrian Army troops continued to hit terrorists’ defense lines hard in Eastern Homs, capturing four more regions on Sunday.

The army men stormed the positions of the terrorists and won control over the villages of al-Safavaniyeh, al-Mokaramiyeh, Rasm Suwayed and Rajm al-Shareh Northeast of al-Shandakhiyeh region near the town of Jubb al-Jarah.

Aleppo

A Syrian media outlet reported Sunday that the Al-Nusra Front was getting ready to kick off a large-scale attack on Ankara- backed militants following the Turkish Army’s reinvigoration of forces along the border with Syria.

The Arabic-language al-Watan daily reported that Al-Nusra has deployed a large number of terrorists and military vehicles in areas surrounding the town of al-Artab in Western Aleppo.

The Al-Nusra’s move came after the Turkish Army sent several convoys of military equipment and forces to the border with Syria, the paper said.

It added that the Al-Nusra is about to attack the al-Artab that is under the Ankara-backed militants of the Free Syria Army (FSA) to foil a plan by the Turkish army and the FSA to carry out an offensive on Al-Nusra Front positions in Idlib.

Al-Watan further said that the FSA has put its forces in al-Artab on alert.

Deir Ezzur-Raqqa

The Syrian Army troops continued to hit ISIL’s defense lines in the provinces of Deir Ezzur and Raqqa on Sunday, driving the terrorists out of more than ten regions.

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL in Eastern Deir Ezzur and the Southern part of Raqqa province, imposing control over the regions of al-Jaber, Qisiyeh, Tishrin 6, Maqlat Saqireh, Qanem Ali, Hardaneh, al-Naserah, Namisiyeh, al-Ramah, Jabileh, Tal Qanem and Wadi Abu Souseh.

The ISIL suffered heavy casualties and its military hardware sustained major damage in the attacks.

Local sources confirmed earlier that the ISIL executed one of its own senior commanders on unknown charges in Deir Ezzur province as the Syrian Army troops continue advancing in the province, adding that a number of terrorist commanders have also escaped the battlefield.

The sources said that ISIL terrorists were accusing each other of betrayal and the cause of their recent failures and defeat in battle with the army men in Eastern and Western Deir Ezzur.

They added that ISIL executed Abu Abdul Sattar Libia’ei, its own commander in the town of al-Tabni, in the village of Hama al-Shamiyeh in Northwestern Deir Ezzur.

The source went on to say that a new group of ISIL commanders, including, Omar al-Haji, the man in charge of ISIL’s public relations, ISIL’s Emir Ziyad Eidan al-Saleh, ISIL’s Emir in Huweija Sakar and ISIL’s commander Ali Amar nom de guerre Abu Saraqeh have escaped battle against the Syrian army.

Meantime, the Syrian Army forces continued their advances against the ISIL in Deir Ezzur and Raqqa provinces and managed to restore sustainable security to the strategic international highway connecting Deir Ezzur to Aleppo.

Military sources confirmed on Sunday that the army seized full control over the international highway that connects Aleppo to Deir Ezzur and Homs following their conquests in Deir Ezzur and Raqqa province on Saturday.

Relevant reports said on Saturday that the army units pushed the ISIL back from the town of Ma’adan in Southeastern Raqqa, and Masaha Ma’adan, Wadi Abu Jabli, al-Suwieda and Bu Issa regions at Raqqa’s provincial border with Deir Ezzur.
