Injuries reported as clashes erupt in Quds
A number of Palestinian youths were injured late Monday when clashes erupted between zionist Israeli forces and locals in Shufat refugee camp in occupied Jerusalem.
Eyewitnesses reported that the clashes broke out when Israeli police violently stormed the refugee camp while heavily firing teargas bombs and live ammunition.
Local youths responded by throwing stones and empty bottles at the forces.
A child suffered serious injuries after a rubber bullet penetrated his eye during the clashes, while two young men were shot and injured with live ammunition.
The injured were immediately taken to hospital for treatment.
Dozens others suffered respiratory problems after inhaling teargas bombs.
Following the clashes, rabid dog Israeli police erected a military checkpoint at the entrance to the camp, restricting the people’s movement in both directions.
