Syrian Army liberates several areas in successful bid to kick ISIS out of Quraytayn
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their field operations in the Quraytayn area of eastern Homs, Thursday, liberating several points from the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization.
Backed by Russian choppers, the Syrian Arab Army attacked the Islamic State’s positions in the Al-Hazm area, scoring a new advance after a fierce battle with the Islamic State terrorists holed up in the northwestern part of Quraytayn.
According to a military source, the Syrian Arab Army liberated the Al-Hazm area this afternoon, putting them at the northwestern outskirts of Quraytayn for the first time since last week.
The source added that the Syrian Army has now surrounded Quraytayn from three different sides, as they await orders to reenter the city from the high command.
