Homs

The Syrian Army troops stormed ISIL’s positions and gatherings in Northeastern Homs on Monday and restored security to the Homs-Palmyra highway after capturing several regions.

The army men retook control over the small town of Humeimeh that was the last ISIL stronghold in the region.

Also, a military source said that the army soldiers launched their anti-ISIL operation from the three flanks of Abu Qala dam, North of T4 airbase and Jubb al-Jarrah region.

The source further said that the army forces managed to restore security to the T4 airbase and the Homs-Palmyra highways.

The Syrian Army troops pushed ISIL back from more positions in Eastern Homs on Saturday and reopened a chunk of the highway that connects Palmyra (Tadmur) city to the town of al-Sukhnah after a week of clashes.

The Palmyra-Sukhnah Highway was reopened after the army soldiers successfully expelled the ISIL terrorists from the Al-Hayl Gas Field that is located South of al-Sukhnah.

Field sources also said that the army forces were attempting to clear the remaining points under the ISIL’s control along the al-Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur Highway.

Meantime, the Syrian Army troops continued to advance against ISIL near al-Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur highway in Eastern Homs and captured another strategic height on Monday.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL East of the town of al-Sukhnah Northeast of Palmyra city, and captured al-Saroukh hill that overlooks the al-Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur highway.

A large number of terrorists were killed or wounded and a large volume of ISIL’s military equipment were destroyed in the operation.

Hama

Two senior commanders of Al-Nusra Front were killed in clashes with the Syrian Army troops in Northeastern Hama, militant-affiliated websites reported Monday.

The websites reported that Al-Nusra Commander Abu Omar was killed in the army attack in Northeastern Hama.

They added that Khalid Shalal al-Ahmad, nom de guerre Abu Adam, another field commander of Al-Nusra was also killed in heavy fighting with the army soldiers in the town of Tal Aswad in Northeastern Hama.

Idlib

The Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) engaged in fierce clashes with two other terrorist groups after the Turkish Army troops crossed the border into Syria on Sunday, militant-affiliated websites reported Monday.

The websites said that Al-Nusra started clashes with Ahrar al-Sham and Faylaq al-Rahman in the town of Armanaz in Northwestern Idlib and captured the town.

A number of gunmen from both warring sides were killed or wounded in the clashes.

A Turkish military delegation, accompanied by an Al-Nusra escort, entered Northern Idlib via Atmah passageway to take part in negotiations with Al-Nusra, the websites disclosed.

In the meantime, former Chief Commander of Ahrar al-Sham said that Al-Nusra attacked Ahrar al-Sham and other terrorist group to force them to stop demand for Turkish military intervention some two months ago, but now, the Al-Nusra is ignoring the Turkish forces’ military meddling.
